What’s the best Golf college degree for me?

For those who have a true passion for golf, there are many degree programs available that prepare students for a wide number of golf jobs and careers. Choosing the program that is best depends on the student’s specific career goals and how much time he or she has to invest in education. An Associate’s degree can be earned in as little as 16 months, and some golf colleges also offer four-year Bachelor’s degree programs that are known as PGM programs.

The most important thing to decide is what you would ultimately like to achieve with your golf degree. An Associate’s degree prepares students for careers in teaching, golf course management, the hospitality industry and many other job opportunities. These programs begin by teaching students about the background of golf, including the history and rules of the game. Instructors cover the physical and mental requirements of golf professionals. Students will also learn about different teaching methods and how to manage a golf course. Having an Associate’s degree in golf is the stepping stone to entering into many different career paths.

The PGA PGM Program is done in partnership with select 4 year colleges and universities  These programs are best for students who wish to attain PGA membership status at graduation.  Students will study business management as it relates to golf marketing, staffing and law. All of the programs offered by golf colleges prepare students for a great career, so learn more about golf colleges by receiving packets from accredited schools.
